Ashkelon has miles of beautiful beaches,  fun water sports and great waves.  Spend the day on a rented sailboat.  Enjoy the view of the coastline as you swim in the Mediterranean.   The Marina is the center of the city's activities and all is walking distance from the apartment.   Walk to Ashkeluna, one of Israel's famous water parks, to treat the kids to an experience of tubing and water slides.

The Galim Surfing School has opened a branch in Ashkelon.  It offers courses for all ages by the hour, the day or even a week of surfing camp!  Counselors speak English and Hebrew.  See their website at www.Galimsurf.com.    Villa Delilah guests receive an exclusive 10% discount.

Enjoy the Negev with its many activites, such as jeep tours or camel rides.  Visit a Beduin tent.

For additional activites, consider a drive to Beer Sheva to enjoy the newly built Science Park or a trip to the Israel Air Force Museum.  

Ashkelon has many kosher restaurants, for fancy dining or for take-away/delivery.  There is a 'makolet' (convenience store) a 5 minute walk from the apartment and many supermarkets in the city.  On the same street as the apartment is Agamim, a catering-hall that has delicious prepared shabbat food and challot every Friday.
